Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-07-10
Last updated: 2026-07-10
This policy covers FlyArchive wherever we publish it: any operating system, desktop or mobile build, website download, or third-party store we use now or later.

In one sentence: FlyArchive processes archives on your device. What personal data we receive beyond that depends mainly on how you paid for or obtained the app, and not on the contents of your archives.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy is issued by Lofloop (“Lofloop”, “we”, “us”, “our”), the developer of FlyArchive. For personal data we process as described here, Lofloop is the controller (or equivalent under applicable law), except where a store, payment provider, or host processes data as an independent controller under its own policy.

Privacy and general contact: hello@lofloop.com
Support: https://lofloop.com/flyarchive/support
Website: https://lofloop.com

We have not appointed a separate Data Protection Officer. Privacy requests should use the subject line "Privacy request - FlyArchive".

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • FlyArchive apps we publish for any platform, including current and future OS builds
  • In-app links to this policy and to our support pages
  • Purchase, download, license, update, and support interactions related to FlyArchive, regardless of operating system or storefront

It does not govern:

  • Other Lofloop products that publish their own policies (unless they expressly adopt this one)
  • Data processed solely by a platform or store operator under that operator’s own terms (store accounts, payment methods stored only with that operator, and similar)
  • Third-party websites we link to but do not control

“Personal data” / “personal information” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual or household, as defined by applicable law. The English version of this policy controls if translations conflict, unless local law requires otherwise.

3. Summary

  • Archive features run locally on your device.
  • We do not require a Lofloop account to use local archive features.
  • We do not sell personal information and do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs in FlyArchive.
  • We do not upload your archive contents or archive passwords to Lofloop as part of ordinary use.
  • Commerce-related data depends on the channel you used. Card numbers are handled by the relevant store or payment processor, not kept by us as a card vault.

4. On-device processing

FlyArchive is a local archive utility. Feature sets may differ by platform, but the privacy model is the same: archive work happens on your device.

When you use the app, it may read and write files and paths you choose, keep local preferences, use temporary staging space, and apply OS security behaviors related to those operations. Access is limited by the platform’s sandbox, permissions, and grants you approve.

Archive contents and extraction passwords are processed only to provide the feature you invoked. They are not uploaded to Lofloop servers as part of ordinary compression, extraction, listing, or preview.

4.1 License and entitlement verification

Paid features may require a license or purchase check. That can happen on any distribution channel, including platform app store builds (such as Apple), direct downloads, and other marketplaces.

Verification may use the platform’s commerce APIs, services we operate or designate, local cached entitlement state, or a combination. Exact technical details may change as products and store rules change. In all cases, checks are limited to what is reasonably needed to authorize the product and reduce abuse.

License and entitlement checks do not upload your archive contents, archive passwords, or a general inventory of files on your device.

5. Payment and distribution channels

We may publish FlyArchive on multiple operating systems and through multiple storefronts. Local archive processing stays on-device. What mainly changes by channel is who handles payment and what limited business or support data we receive afterward.

5.1 Platform app stores

When you buy or download through a platform store, that store operator is typically the merchant of record. Store accounts, payment methods, and checkout are governed by the store’s own privacy policy and terms. We do not receive your full payment card number from the store.

We may receive store developer reports and limited purchase or entitlement information needed to understand sales and unlock features. Store-distributed binaries may also perform license or entitlement verification as described above.

5.2 Apple storefronts

Where we list on Apple platforms, section 5.1 applies, and Apple’s terms and Privacy Policy cover Apple Account and App Store checkout. Apple-distributed builds may verify purchases or licenses via Apple’s commerce systems and/or additional verification under section 4.1. This does not mean FlyArchive is limited to Apple.

5.3 Direct download and website checkout

When you buy or download from us directly, we (and processors acting for us) may process the contact and order information needed to take payment, deliver a license or download, prevent fraud, and support you. Full payment credentials are collected by the payment processor, not stored by us as a card vault.

Our website and download systems may process ordinary technical logs for security, delivery, and abuse prevention. Direct builds may use license checks under section 4.1, as may other channels.

5.4 Other platforms and channels

If we ship on additional operating systems or through other stores, package channels, or enterprise distribution, the same principles apply: archive processing stays local; the channel handles its own checkout when it is the merchant; we receive only what we need to fulfill and support the product; license verification, if any, follows section 4.1.

6. What we may process

Beyond on-device archive processing (which stays on your device), we may process personal data in these broad categories. Exact fields and vendors can change; we do not list every technical parameter here.

  • Commerce and entitlement data: information needed to complete a purchase, deliver a license or download, or confirm that paid features are authorized
  • Contact and support data: information you send us when you write for help or account issues
  • Website and service operations data: ordinary technical data from operating our site, downloads, and related services (security, reliability, abuse prevention)
  • Store reports: aggregate or limited sales and distribution metrics provided by platform stores

We do not intentionally collect archive contents, archive passwords, or a catalog of your personal files through ordinary product use.

Typical sources include you, your device (for local app use), app stores and platforms, payment processors, and infrastructure providers that host our site and services.

7. Purposes and legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data only with a legal basis. In short:

  • Contract: provide the app, fulfill purchases, deliver licenses, and related support
  • Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, basic service reliability, and product support (balanced against your rights)
  • Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and similar duties where they apply
  • Consent: optional marketing, where required

Transactional messages about an order or license may be sent without separate marketing consent. Promotional emails include an unsubscribe path where required.

8. Support and website

If you contact us, we process what you send so we can respond. Please avoid sharing highly sensitive archive contents or passwords unless we ask for a minimal sample and you are comfortable providing it.

Visiting our website may generate ordinary server or CDN logs. We may use necessary cookies or local storage for security or basic site preferences. If we use non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, we will disclose them and obtain consent where required.

9. Sharing and processors

We may share personal data with service providers and partners who help us operate distribution, payments, hosting, email, security, and similar functions; with store operators when you buy through them; with professional advisors under confidentiality; and with authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We may also share data in connection with a merger or similar transaction involving Lofloop, with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used under U.S. state privacy laws, unless we expressly update this policy and provide required opt-outs.

10. International transfers

We and some providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where transfer rules apply, we rely on appropriate mechanisms offered by law or by our providers. Store operators describe their own transfers in their policies.

11. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, accounting, dispute, security, and support needs. On-device archive files and preferences remain under your control on your device. When retention ends, we delete or anonymize data where feasible, subject to backup rotation and legal holds.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small studio. No method of electronic storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Protect your device, store accounts, and any inbox used for license delivery. FlyArchive cannot recover an archive password you forget if the format requires it.

13. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, to portability, to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, to opt out of marketing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

For data Lofloop controls, email privacy@lofloop.com. We may need to verify your request. For data held only by a store or platform operator, use that operator’s privacy tools or support.

You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. Local preferences follow OS behavior when app data is removed.

14. California and similar U.S. state laws

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, this section supplements the rest of the policy.

We may process identifiers, commercial information, and internet activity related to purchases, support, and our website. Archive content you process in the app stays on your device in ordinary use and is not sold by us.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right-to-limit notice beyond what is necessary to provide the services you request.

To submit a request to know, delete, or correct, contact privacy@lofloop.com. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

15. Children

FlyArchive is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for Lofloop checkout. Store purchases should follow that store’s age and guardian rules. If you believe a child provided us personal data directly, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

16. Automated decision-making

Stores and payment processors may use automated fraud tools under their own policies. We do not use the contents of archives on your device to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

17. Third-party policies

Platform stores, payment processors, hosts, and similar vendors apply their own privacy policies to data they process. Checkout pages will identify the active processor where relevant.

18. Changes

We may update this policy when products, platforms, channels, vendors, or laws change. We will revise the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice when appropriate.
